22. A whole lot of woman. Kansas. Likes: the Jayhawks, Chiefs, and Royals; boys with nice smiles; dancing; writing. Dislikes: disrespect, ignorance, rudeness, and people who make sounds when they eat.

This is a body positive blog.

Forever annoyed with people who associate a lack of intelligence with leaning toward a certain political affiliation or belief.

It happens on all sides of the spectrum and it drives me insane. The woman I work with is such a gung-ho Republican, it’s overwhelming. She makes rude comments all the time about Democrats and has called the president “the big dummy” on more than one occasion. I see things on here along the lines of “anyone who would vote Republican after Bush is a complete moron” or “all Republicans are idiots” or “all Democrats are morons” all the time and it just pisses me off. Why is it so ingrained in peoples’ minds that a difference of opinion = idiocy? In my mind, that’s more ignorant than being a certain political party or having a certain economic belief or social beliefs. All of it makes me equally uncomfortable and frustrated.

Can we all just sit around a bonfire, sing Kumbaya, and stop being such assholes, please?
